When people are in charge of a business or a government, be they are large or small, when the Drama enters, good sense exits.
Drama is fine for entertainment on NetFlix in movies or on the stage. When it comes to local government on up to the Federal level, that is when reality happens. People need to leave the 'stage', the 'bright lights' and ensure that government is conducted on a professional level.
It is the same in the area of business. Board of Directors that fail in their duties, wind up with a failed business. It is the same in management. The list is long on both.
The failure of the US government is a more important one in as much as this is not a game playing scenario. It has been turned into one big Drama. People need to come to the realization that whether our government, which directly affects each and everyone of us and the future of the US as a world power, needs to have consistency, legislation that is not for a minority but for the whole of the US.
Special interests on Any level has led to a paralysis of government that hasn't been seen since the Civil War. There are those that have even Advocated a return rerun of that time. A time that pitted brother against brother, a time that brought progress to a standstill, cost millions of dollars and thousands of live and disrupted untold number of people's lives.
Our Nation was birthed in blood, it does need to end in a bloody death. The current one is more like an unbloodied death, yet it is a death of progress. Something that America is noted for, admired for and should always remain on the progressive path to the benefit of all of Americans. Yet, there are those few that are holding America hostage to their interests, disregarding the interests of the nation as a whole. The do not see beyond their small communities that are a piece of the whole. They are Not in a position to dictate to a nation so they have reverted to impediments in the governing of the US. By their elected representatives, they have become a major source of discord in America. They have stopped governing of a nation. In this I see a sense of Pride that is not becoming either to them or to their representatives.
Let the New Year bring a renewal of the 'can do ' attitude of the American Public and those in government positions. Let the New Year see a return to common sense, decency in attitude towards each other and most essential...a return to governing that is not bound to a lesser interests. We are a Nation of Many Faiths, all need to pray that there is a return to common sense.
There are enough people in the world that wish America the most harm we do not need to assist them in their endeavors.
