Beta testing is for users of a program to help find the bugs in a computer program. There are no 100% bug free programs unless a programmer hits the lotto of writing a program, which winning the lotto is like the nth also.:)
When you are in the NV Beta testing program here are a few things about it or for Any beta testing site. Most important is having patience with the program. Sometimes the program loads slower than what you are accucustomed. This more true when you are writing an article and adding something like the Snip Tool shots. :) Also, on the Save icon, do click it Several times. This is to ensure that the work you are doing isn't sent off into the cyber trash can or Universe or wherever lost work goes. There has to be a Lot of mine...sighhhh
You may see this at the bottom of your screen, the beta program, as in Newsvine is spooling which basically means it is accessing the server program.... Wait, have some patience, don't start clicking away & the webpage will settle back down. If it doesn't, than file the Bug Report.

First though, if you are using IE 9, at the top http bar are two icons to pay attention to when you are in Beta or in the NV. Sometimes, you need to use the Compatability & turn it Off, other times it needs to be On. This is done simply by clicking on it. Next to that is the refresh icon. This returns the page & sometimes refreshing a page if it freezes up or doesn't respond to your commands, will reenable it. I don't know if other browsers have this option but if they do, be prepared to use those tools. Beta is not a bug free program though I'm sure that the programmer wishes it were so. :)

Personally, I think that this updated version is going in the right direction. It is simpler to use than I found the C side to be when I first started. It has a new look and ease of use that should appeal to newer members. The NV is about content anyway, not just the look.
As far as if another member publishes their comment to a Nation that the author/seeder doesn't belong too, which clips the article to the other Nation, my two cents, whoever publishes/clips to a Nation the article/seed of which the author/seeder... isn't a member...becomes responsible for moderating the article/seed they published to the other Nation.
No more of the author/seeder having to discover that their article/seed is all over the NV & getting all sorts of comments. It is also a Red Flag to posters to Not put the Article/Seed ....in too many Nations or they are going to spend a lot more time moderating on different tabs that posting opens up.
There is a Lot more in the Beta but it is interesting to come back and find another tool for us to use. :)
