It's wonderful that though Gene was born in Israel and immigrated to the USA he's more patriotic than half the Americans out there. Thanks to the other members of Kiss, too, and of course, our military! A handshake and a thank you for serving can make a lot of difference in someone's day, so try it! Even if you dont approve of certain military actions or wars in general, at least respect the fact these people are keeping you safe so you have rights and don't have to fight for them yourself!
